Jude Dalton
A Life and Legacy exuding Love
Jude’s life is a radiant testimony of God’s love expressed through everyday acts of care, generosity, and unwavering faith. Adopted into a loving family in Matamata and married to "Neilo" at just 19, she began building a legacy not of accolades, but of people, of hearts touched, lives nourished, and souls uplifted.
As a trained hairdresser, violinist, German speaker, barefoot skier, and even a creator of the New Zealand garden at the Chelsea Garden Show in England, Jude’s talents are wide-ranging. But it’s not her achievements that define her—it’s her heart. She is a mother of three, nana to eight, and “Nana Jude” to hundreds more at KidSoul and Soul, where her presence is synonymous with comfort, joy, and spiritual nourishment.
Jude sees people. Not just crowds, but “the one”—the overlooked, the weary, the hungry in body or spirit. Her legacy is one of radical generosity with her children noting that she would sleep on the floor so someone else could have her bed and even cook for the kids if they woke in the middle of the night saying they were hungry. Jude gives without hesitation. Her home, her heart, and her hands are always open.
Whether leading worship, teaching believeasize classes, or simply wrapping someone in care, Jude embodies the love of Christ. She feeds, she listens, she notices. Her faith is not just spoken—it’s lived, out of her kitchen, in the community, through service at Soul, in whispered prayers and in the way she makes people feel seen and special.
She is the sister of a former Government House butler, but more profoundly, she is a servant of the Kingdom—generous with her time, her gifts, her resources, and her love. Jude’s legacy is not just what she’s done, but who she’s become as child of God, eager to serve him and see others find him as their God also
